Church WOW holds its quarterly “Blessing of the Animals” on Sunday, July 20th, 11 a.m., at the Humane Society of Catawba County in Hickory. Bring your furry family members (and your less-furry ones too!), and join us for this event.
WOW REACHES OUT – TO THOSE WHO ARE HUNGRY. Our current missions focus is ministry to those who are hungry. Please consider sharing your time and your resources with a local hunger ministry in your area. When you buy your own groceries, purchase an extra jar of peanut butter (always a much-needed item) and other canned goods to deliver to your nearest food pantry. Volunteer to serve a meal at a soup kitchen. Bake bread or concoct your favorite dish to share with a neighbor in need. Buy gift cards or coupons from local restaurants to share with roadside strangers who are hungry. Fast from one meal weekly and donate those funds to a nonprofit organization that focuses on feeding those who are hungry.
